Our marvelous Dragon Well is from Hangzhou, a beautiful city in the Zhejiang Province, in the East of China.

The Zhejiang Province is the home of Economy, Culture, Science and Education. It is also very famous for its history and culture, and hosts many tourists because of its beautiful scenery (particularly West Lake, The Qiantang River, and the Grand Canal (the longest canal of 1,104 mi that connects Beijing to Hangzhou).

Hangzhou is renowned as "Paradise on Earth", "Cultural State", "Home of Silk", "Tea Capital" and "Town of Fish and Rice".

In the 13th century, the Italian sailor Marco Polo admired Hangzhou as the Most Splendid and Luxurious City in the World".

It is also highly developed. In fact, Hangzhou is the wealthiest of the medium-sized cities (about 8 million people), and the economy has been growing relatively quickly. The city is also a center for manufacturing for multinational companies.

A core city of the Yangtze River Delta, Hangzhou has a position on the Hangzhou Bay 180 kilometres (110 mi) southwest of Shanghai that gives it economic power. It has been one of the most renowned and prosperous cities of China for much of the last 1,000 years, due in part to its beautiful natural scenery.

Hangzhou has a subtropical monsoon climate with 4 different seasons. It is warm and humid with sufficient sunshine and a lot of rainfall. The average annual temperature is 63.5 degrees.

Most of Long Jing tea plantations are located in Meijiawu village, an area located in the West of West Lake and which gives shelter to about 160 tea houses, and that is just 20 minutes away from Hangzhou's city center.

Long Jing Tea is the most famous tea in the region. It is also one of China's most prized and expensive tea. It has been growing for hundreds of years in a region with a natural barrier encircled by three mountains, and has its unique microclimate.

During the Song Dynasty (960-1279), a poet called Su Dongpo compared Long Jing tea to the West Lake, by saying this good tea resembles a beauty queen.
